It is a wetland of great natural value and one of the prime wildlife destinations in Botswana. It’s waters comes from Angola and reaches the delta during the dry season. Today, large areas of the delta are protected with the famous Moremi Game Reserve.

Chobe is the most visited and partly overcrowded park in Botswana – especially the Chobe River frontage. Savuti on the southern area of Chobe National Park is famous for big elephant bulls, lions and hyenas.
NXAI PAN & MAKGADIKGADI PANS NATIONAL PARK
The Makgadikgadi pans national park offers good wildlife viewing, particularly when large herds of zebra and wildebeest begin their westward migration to the Boteti region. CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME RESERVE
Central Kalahari game reserve, the second largest game reserve in the world is mostly flat and gently undulating covered with bush and grasses covering the sand dunes, and areas of larger trees. The Deception valley on the northern side of the park is the most popular because of the dense concentrations of wildlife during the rainy season. It is also the most travelled area of the reserve, with a number of public campsites, and proximity to the eastern Matswere Gate.
