3 Day Mountain Gorilla Tour Congo- Virunga National Park

Tracking Gorillas in Congo is an experience sure to reward you with one of the most excellent and spot on gorilla watching times you have or ever will have when in the Virunga National Park. This Virunga National Park is the only one in the Democratic Republic of Congo that harbors these Mountain gorillas thus tracking can only be done here when in Congo.

Day 1: Arrival and Pick up from the Kigali International Airport, Rwanda

On arrival at the Kigali International Airport, your guide will pick you up and take you briefly around the city for a tour before taking you to Goma. You will arrive at the town of Goma early noon and have your lunch just by the waters at the Front Beach Hotel before heading for a City Tour of Goma if time is in your favor. Later on, you will opt to enjoy your dinner and rest from the Bukima Tented Camp and or the Mikeno Lodge

Day 2: Tracking Mountain Gorillas in the Virunga National Park

Get up as early as 6:00am and have your breakfast before you head out on an hour’s drive to the park headquarters. Here you will be distributed into tracking groups and allocated Gorilla families. Take just an hour in the presence of these gentle giants as they go about their daily activities of breastfeeding for the young gorillas, feeding for the rest, playing and doing so many more other things in one of the oldest National Parks of the African Continent; the Virunga National Park. Thereafter, descend as you enjoy breathtaking views of the park in its tremendously great biodiversity. Check back into your hotel to enjoy your dinner and catch some rest.

Day 3: Kigali City Tour and Departure

After you get up you will first have tour breakfast before you can proceed on your journey out of Congo into Kigali. When here, enjoy a brief city tour of the capital visiting museums, genocide memorials, markets and so much more. Later on head to the airport to catch your departure flight back home. However, you can opt to directly fly out from the Goma Airport without having to journey all the way to Kigali International Airport.
