We list only 20 hand-picked tour operators per destination across Africa. If one of those spots has your name on it, travelers searching for safaris on 1,000+ ranked pages find you — and only you. No crowded directories. No commission. Ever.
Commission platforms charge you 15–30% per booking and bury you alongside thousands of competitors. On a $4,000 safari that's up to $1,200 gone — and a traveler who can barely find you among the crowd.
Safari package: $4,000 · Platform commission at 25%: − $1,000 lost
You receive: $3,000 vs. AfricaTourOperators.org: $4,000 kept — 100% yours.
And on our platform? A traveler sees 20 operators per destination — not 15,000.
This isn't about restriction. It's about giving each listed operator something most platforms never can — genuine, undiluted visibility. Here is what that cap means for you.
When a traveler opens our operator pages, they choose from 20 vetted specialists per destination — not scroll past 15,000. Every listing gets real attention from real buyers.
We turn away the majority of applicants. If you're in, your direct competitor almost certainly isn't. That kind of positioning is worth far more than a $500 annual fee.
With just 20 operators per destination, we can vet thoroughly, support properly, and ensure every listing reflects the standard travelers expect. That credibility lifts every operator in the network.
Traveler inquiries on this platform aren't diluted across hundreds of operators. When someone sends an inquiry, it lands with you — not split between 200 similar listings.
Being listed here tells travelers — and your industry peers — that you passed a review most didn't. That association with quality is part of what they're paying you for.
When travelers see a small, curated selection of operators, they decide faster. Fewer options, higher-quality operators, less decision paralysis. Better conversion for you.
One flat annual fee — then every booking is entirely yours. No percentage cuts, no per-inquiry charges, no hidden renewal fees. What clients pay you, stays with you.
No platform sitting between you and your client. Travelers see your tours, click your contact, and reach you directly. You own the relationship from the very first message.
Your packages appear on destination and activity pages already ranked in Google — Kenya safaris, gorilla trekking, walking safaris, birding, and more. Built-in traffic from day one.
Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Ethiopia, DRC — wherever you operate, there are dedicated pages with real audiences. Niche operators in lesser-visited countries gain especially strong positioning.
Once you're accepted and onboarded, your listing and up to 10 tour packages go live within 48 hours. No protracted setup, no technical barriers on your end.
People on this platform have already chosen Africa. They're comparing operators — not browsing inspiration boards. Inquiries come from people who are ready to commit a budget.
We make the application process straightforward. What takes time is our review — because we take it seriously.
Complete the short application. Tell us about your company, your destinations, and the tours you run. No lengthy forms, no portfolio uploads required upfront.
Our team reviews every application carefully. We look at credentials, itinerary quality, and destination fit. Only operators who genuinely raise the bar are accepted.
Sign your listing agreement, submit your tour packages, and go live. From that moment, travelers across 1,000+ pages can find and contact you directly.
There are no commission tiers, no upsells, and no performance penalties. One flat annual fee buys you a seat at an exclusive table that very few operators will ever sit at.
Most operators recover this fee in a single booking. The ones who respond quickly to inquiries, run well-crafted multi-day itineraries, and operate in high-demand destinations tend to see returns that make the $500 annual fee look like the best decision they made all year.
✓ $0 commission on every booking — always ✓ One of only 20 operators per destination — everApplication does not guarantee acceptance. Spots are awarded at our discretion after review.

This platform is for operators who own their product end-to-end — not resellers, aggregators, or day-trip brokers. Here is how different operator types tend to perform.
You own vehicles, employ guides, and manage clients from arrival to departure. This platform was built for operators exactly like you.
Uganda, Rwanda, DRC — some of the highest-traffic pages on the platform. Demand is strong and growing year on year.
Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa. Travelers searching for walking safaris know exactly what they want — and they'll find you here.
Dedicated birding content across every African region attracts committed birders who are ready to plan and pay for the right operator.
Ethiopia, Morocco, West Africa. Traveler demand for authentic cultural experiences is growing — and few platforms cover this segment well.
The platform is built around multi-day itineraries. Operators offering only day trips or airport transfers are not a strong fit for our current structure.
Yes, it is a hard limit and it is intentional. By capping the roster at 20 per destination, we ensure every operator gets meaningful, undiluted exposure — not a slot in a directory that travelers scroll past. It also means our team can genuinely vet, support, and maintain the standard of every listing on the platform. We believe 20 excellent operators per destination serve travelers better than 1,500 mediocre ones.
Absolutely. AfricaTourOperators.org operates on a flat annual membership fee only. When a traveler books a tour through our platform, every cent of that payment goes directly to you. We take no percentage of your revenue — not now, not when you renew, not ever. The $500/year is your total cost of being on the platform.
If all spots for your destination are filled, your application goes into consideration for the next available position. Spots open when an existing operator chooses not to renew, or in rare cases when a listed operator no longer meets our quality standards. There is no formal waitlist — when a spot opens, we review the strongest pending applications and extend an offer to the best fit.
We aim to review applications within 3–5 business days. During high-application periods it may take a little longer. If your application is successful, you'll receive a listing agreement to sign before onboarding begins. If your application is not accepted, we'll let you know — and in some cases we'll invite you to reapply once certain criteria are met.
Yes. Your $500/year listing covers all the African countries and destinations you operate in. You are not charged per country. Your tours appear on every relevant destination page — whether you run safaris in three countries or twelve. Up to 10 packages can be published under one listing.
Existing operators who renew annually are given priority over new applicants. Your spot is yours as long as you maintain the platform's quality standards and choose to renew. We don't arbitrarily remove operators to make room — your investment in building a listing here is protected by that commitment.
