Our contact person throughout was Fabby with whom we agreed and paid for the attached itinerary.

We purchased this organised tour by paying Fabby of Geckco Safaris Ltd the full amount of $18272 to secure the full trip as per the intinary.  50% of this was paid before flying to Tanzania which we paid via bank transfer and the remaining 50% was paid in cash in Dar Es Salaam to one of Fabby’s associates named Gloria who met us at the hotel.

Since the above payment Fabby has had little to no contact with us.  Our tour included all of the below which we learnt on arrival wasn’t paid for despite Fabby taking the full payment upfront:-

• x2 Ngorongoro entrance.
• x2 Lake Manyara entrance.
• Local tour agencies which he dealt with have also not received their payment which meant they couldn’t honour the itinerary.
• Transportation, tour guides, meals, and other entrances such as Old Town & Spice Plantations.
• None of the following hotel’s have received payment from Fabby.  We have written confirmation from each of these hotels where the booking was made by Fabby but no follow up payments were made:-
  • Senera Lodge Ngorongoro
  • Senera Lodge Lake Manyara
  • Mt-Meru Hotel
  • Double tree by Hilton Stone.

We’ve had a number of empty promises from Fabby to resolve the matter during and after the holiday, however we are still left chasing him for an explanation and compensation none of which we have received so far.

Fabby has basically taken the money and we have been scammed and left out of pocket as we’ve had to pay for all of the above again.

As genuine as they may sound on the phone and email I would like to make you all aware that they are running a scam.  Communication via email from Fabby was good at the start which lead us to believe that this was a genuine person, however, as soon as we handed over the money he wouldn’t respond to any of our emails or calls.  This matter has now been reported to the local authority who are investigating.
