Exciting and Memorable Vacation Historic Lalibela, Gondar and Bahirdar along with Stunning Simien Mountains trek and Cultural Omo Valley Tribes

I am a 29 years old Belgian adventure traveler mostly I organize my own tribes with local experts. I browser on internet to plan my upcoming Ethiopia vacation. I have some Ethiopian tour companies and I send them a request for tour proposal.  Unexpectedly I have a very quick reply from the company named King Dawit Tours Ethiopia towards my request with a clear program and options; glad to find such professionalism there.

Actually, the price seems high as if I am a lonely traveler and no one shares my travel costs. I suggest my own thinking to make the cost a bit lower the company manager Mr. Dawit helped me to save around $ 400 by replacing the best available hotels. After all, I asked the company for references and he provided me four previous travelers and I am not wasting the time to get contact will them. I have received responses from those travelers about the trust, success of trips and safety measures; all the responses I have got about King Dawit Tours Ethiopia are excellent.  I also read five star reviews of this company on trip advisor; that makes me very confidential and then I proceed for a booking.

Subsequently I have received traveled advises and packing lists from my travel agent this makes my departure arrangement very easy. I pack all the necessary items as per the travel advice.

On my arrival in Addis with Lufthansa airways, the company manager welcomes me at the airport and transferred me to Monarch hotels, clean and neat hotel in Addis.

Morning as I have a domestic flight to Gondar the company arranged a shuttle service on time. On my arrival in Gondar, the company representative Mr. Getachew welcomes me and takes me to the restaurant for a farewell breakfast with introductory explanation about the plan of the tour.

Then have an exciting visit to royal enclosure, Fasil bath, debre Birhan sellassie and qusqam complex.

Next day morning we drive to simein mountain national park for a 5-day trekking up to Emet gogo. Everything arranged very well all the trekking team very kind and supportive. They assisted me in loading my luggages on mule when we are on hiking. The selected camping grounds are on a great place to enjoy the stunning mountains. They have a well-equipped camping material including tent and sleeping bags. After I had an exciting and memorable trek on the Simein Mountains back to Gondar to continue the historic tour.

Bahirdar, on this beautiful city I have visited Lake Tana monasteries and blue Nile fall. The most exciting part of the trips is the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela. I also had an excursion trip to Yemrehane Kirstose and Asheton Mariam rock churches that found at the top of the mountain.

After I have completed the historic tour with a 5 days hiking on simien mountains I fly back to Addis Ababa to start the cultural omo valley tour.

On my way to southern Ethiopia cultural tour the first day I have visited Adadi Marima rock hewn church and Tiya standing stones (UNESCO registered) In Arba Minch I had a boat trip on lake Chamo to Africas crocodile farm  and a visit to the chencha village of the Dorza.

Jinka, I attend Thursday market at Keyafer I have meet the colorful tribes and I had taken enough pictures. On the way, I have also seen the Konso peoples and their tukul viallges.

On my excursion trip to Mago I have seen the lip stretching girls of the Mursi people.

In Turmi , I cross the omo river  to Omorate on local boat and meet the Dascenech people and their beautiful upstairs villages. Unfortunately, due to availability I am not lucky to see the bull jumping ceremony of the Hamer peoples. All the chosen resorts and lodges on my cultural trip are the best available and with very clean rooms suited with private bathrooms. Especially Buska lodge is very beautiful constructed on local ways and all the staffs are very hospitable.

Finally, I would really want to say thanks my travel agent King Dawit Tours and all the teams for organizing such an exciting arrangement without missing any promises. It is really a nice choice.

I am very happy to recommend King Dawit Tours Ethiopia for any travelers who had a plan to visit. I am sure I will be back soon to visit the rest of this beautiful country with my travel agent. I am very interested to be in Danakil and I have see King Dawit Tours had a good reviews for Danakil trips too.

Bon Voyage .

We had Exciting Heritage Tours in Ethiopia
5.0

We four friends from Clemson university had visited Ethiopiaon May 2017 for 10 days. We use the service Ethiopian tour operator King Dawit Tours Ethiopia. From the beginning the company manager Dawit replied towards our request very quickly and he answer all my questions and clarifyour security concerns as of previous months public protest.

Our group tour completed successfully and all arrangements fulfilled as per our deal. On our trip we are very blessed in seeing the holy city of Lalibela, the rock churches architecture is extraordinary. Our assigned guide Daniel is kind and very knowledagble. On our two days stay in Lalibel we had also visited the surrounding rock hewn churches Yemrehae Kirstose and Asheton Mariam. In the  evening our agency envited us for a traditional coffee ceremony outside the hotel for free.

Next day we fly to the town of Bahirdar, on arival our agency representative welcomes us at the airport and get us to Abay Minch lodge to drop our luggage’s. In bahirdar we have visited lake tana island monastery’s after having a short boat crossing and after lunch we proceed to Blue Nile fall but the fall is not that much big. As our guide Getachew told us there is an irrigation project that’s why the amount of water decreased. We enjoyed the evening walking around the city and having a cold Ethiopians beer St. George.

Next day we meet Getch we pack and leave Bahirdar, the beautiful city for a two hours drive to Gondar. In Gondar we have visited the rotal castles, Fasil bath, burial place of the emperors at Qusquam complex and the old church Debre Birgan Selassie. All the history of the heritages are really jaw dropping.

Our program also includes a day hiking on simien mountains national park. Inside the park we saw Ethiopian endemic animals Gelada baboon , red fox and big vulture; we take enough pictures. Our picnic lunch with a bottle of wine makes us to feel relaxed. We stay the night at simien Lodge, as we read it is the highest lodge in Africa as itis located at the gate of the park.

Morning we drive to Axum along a beautiful mountain scenery. We have short stops for leg stretching meeting locals on the road. Early evening we arrive Axum and we spend the night at Sabean hotel. On our fullday sightseeing in Axum we have visited the stele parks, Axum Tsion church, Queen Sheba palace  and  Kaleb tomb. More over this on our drive to Mekele we visit Yeha temple and the famouse tigray rock hewn churches.

Our historic tour end in Mekele. Morning our driver picked us from Planet hotel and transferred us to the airport for our flight back to Addis Ababa.

On our halfday in Addis Ababa we have a short city tour. Our visit includes the National museum for the skeleton of the human ancestor, Lucy and Ethnographic museum to see the country history’s and cultures. Later on we walked inside the biggest open air market in Africa, Mercato and we bought soveniours. As our guide told us there is theft and pick pocketing so we take every thing carefully.

Evening Dawit join us and invited us at the traditional restaurant for a farewell dinner. We enjoyed Ethiopian kitfo and the traditional dances. He asked about our trip; if something makes us unhappy; I thought he is very carful in handling trips. Generally we had a great vacation in Ethiopia with King Dawit Tours Ethiopia. I do  recommend the service of this company for friends, colleagues, and family members for any travel need across Ethiopia.

Happy travels,
