Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking

Early in the morning, have your untimely breakfast before heading to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi for a brief meeting with the head ranger who will guide you through what you should do. Hike in search for the Mountain Gorillas and get to only spend an hour after you get to where they are. The trek is likely to take you an hour to six depending on how far the gorillas have moved, so you should be quite fit and in shape for the hike. Enjoy taking pictures of these gorillas and see as they go up and about their daily activities. Descend to have your lunch and then later in the evening, visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village to get to know more about the culture and way of life of the Rwandan people. Later travel to Lake Kivu which is among the deepest lakes in the East African Region where you will be amazed by the views of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Nyiragongo Volcanoes. Have dinner later and then rest.

Day 3: Kigali City Tour and Departure

Enjoy your breakfast before traveling back to the capital Kigali where you might be taken around the city for a tour of the genocide memorial sites like Gisozi, the local handicrafts marketplaces, museums and so many others before proceeding to the Kigali International Airport to catch your departure flight back home.
