Arrive at Ivato International Airport, where you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in the capital. Enjoy time to relax or take a short tour of Antananarivo, including its colonial architecture and open-air markets.
Overnight at Hotel Belvedere or similar.
After breakfast, drive east to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park (3.5–4 hours). Pass through highland rice paddies, rural villages, and eucalyptus plantations. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your lodge.
In the evening, take a guided night walk along the forest edge to spot mouse lemurs, chameleons, and frogs.
Overnight at Vakona Forest Lodge or Mantadia Lodge.
Spend the day tracking the Indri indri, the largest lemur species, inside Andasibe (Analamazaotra Reserve). Your local guide will help you locate families by their loud territorial calls. Also watch for diademed sifakas, common brown lemurs, and endemic birds like the blue coua.
In the afternoon, visit Lemur Island at Vakona Reserve, where rescued lemurs roam semi-free and may approach closely.

After breakfast, drive westward back to Antananarivo, then continue south to Antsirabe, a highland town known for thermal springs, colonial charm, and artisanal workshops. The total drive is about 6–7 hours with stops along the way.
Arrive in the evening and explore the quiet streets or local craft markets.
Overnight at Couleur Café or similar.
Depart early for Ranomafana National Park, one of Madagascar’s top biodiversity hotspots. The journey takes about 6 hours through varied terrain, passing Ambositra, the center of Malagasy wood carving.
Arrive at your rainforest lodge in the late afternoon. Optional: evening night walk outside the park to search for mouse lemurs, leaf-tailed geckos, and amphibians.
Overnight at Setam Lodge or Thermal Hotel.
Spend the full day inside Ranomafana National Park, a lush tropical forest home to 12 lemur species including golden bamboo lemurs, greater bamboo lemurs, and Milne-Edwards’ sifakas.
Follow forest trails that pass waterfalls, hot springs, and thick fern canopies. Birders may see pitta-like ground rollers, vangas, and Madagascar cuckoo-rollers.
Overnight at Setam Lodge or similar.
Depart Ranomafana and head southwest toward Isalo National Park. En route, stop at Anja Reserve, a community-run forest where ring-tailed lemurs are easily observed. Hike for an hour or two to see lemurs, caves, and traditional tombs.
Continue through the dry savannah of the south and arrive at Isalo, a park famous for its sandstone canyons and desert landscapes.
Overnight at Isalo Rock Lodge or Satrana Lodge.
Explore Isalo National Park, known for dramatic rock formations, deep canyons, and palm-lined oases. Hike through the Canyon des Singes and visit Piscine Naturelle, a crystal-clear natural pool fed by a waterfall.
Along the way, look for verreaux’s sifakas, ring-tailed lemurs, and endemic plants adapted to the dry climate.
Overnight at Isalo Rock Lodge or similar.
After breakfast, drive 4–5 hours to Tulear on the southwest coast. Pass through spiny forest landscapes and Baobab-dotted plains. On arrival, board your flight back to Antananarivo.
Upon landing, transfer to your hotel in the capital for your final evening in Madagascar.

Depending on your international flight time, enjoy a short visit to La Digue handicrafts market for last-minute souvenirs or take a scenic drive to Ambohimanga Royal Hill, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Transfer to Ivato International Airport for your outbound flight.
