Day 1 – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Our guide will give you a warm welcome upon arrival in lively Arusha. After checking into our comfortable lodge, we’ll discuss the epic 10-day itinerary over a delicious traditional dinner. A good night’s rest prepares us for an early start tomorrow.
Day 2 – Full Day Game Viewing in Maasai Mara
The wildlife viewing begins today in underrated Tarangire National Park! Renowned for ancient baobab trees and dry season animal concentrations, we’ll game drive spotting massive herds of elephants plus lions, giraffes, zebras and over 550 bird species. After a rewarding first day, we’ll overnight at our lodge tucked inside the park.
Day 3 – Rift Valley & Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we’ll stop at a viewpoint overlooking the stunning Great Rift Valley. Then it’s on to Lake Manyara NP, known for impressive birdlife, lush landscapes, and famous tree-climbing lions! Picnic lunch by the lake before game driving this diverse ecosystem and overnighting at our lodge.
Days 4 Wildlife Watching in the Serengeti
Two full days exploring phenomenal Serengeti National Park! Early morning and evening game drives reveal the incredible diversity – lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, antelope, the annual Great Migration of 2 million wildebeest…even rare wild dogs! The birdlife is exceptional too with over 500 species. The Serengeti amazes at every turn.
Day 5 Serengeti National Park
Two full days exploring phenomenal Serengeti National Park! Early morning and evening game drives reveal the incredible diversity – lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, antelope, the annual Great Migration of 2 million wildebeest…even rare wild dogs! The birdlife is exceptional too with over 500 species. The Serengeti amazes at every turn.
Day 6 – Into the Ngorongoro Highlands
After an early breakfast in the Serengeti, we’ll drive into the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands. Gazing out over the Ngorongoro Crater below inspires awe. We’ll descend over 600m into what’s considered Africa’s Garden of Eden brimming with wildlife for memorable game viewing and a picnic lunch. Tonight we overnight at our lodge perched on the crater rim.
Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater Game Drives
We have a full day to explore phenomenal Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera. Abundant wildlife like lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, flamingos and more reside in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our expert guide will take us to the best spots for animal sightings and luxury picnic lunches by Hippo Pool.
Day 8 – Maasai Boma Visit
After morning game driving, we’ll visit a local Maasai village to learn about their ancient culture and traditions. Watch demonstrations of traditional singing and dancing, join in beading handicrafts, and purchase souvenirs directly from the artisans. Tonight we’ll relive our amazing trip so far over dinner at our lodge.
Day 9 – Depart Ngorongoro for Arusha
On our last day, we’ll ascend out of Ngorongoro and make the drive back to Arusha. We’ll stop in lively villages and markets along the way for final souvenir shopping. Toast to an incredible safari adventure at our farewell dinner
Day 10 – Fly Home from Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight home, reminiscing on the most spectacular 10 days! We hope you loved exploring Tanzania’s natural and cultural treasures with us.
