Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek. Your safari guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Windhoek’s highlights such as the Christuskirche, Independence Memorial Museum, and the Old Breweries Craft Market.
Windhoek offers a relaxed start with cultural immersion and great cuisine, blending European and African influences.

After breakfast, travel north to Okonjima, located between Windhoek and Otjiwarongo (approx. 3.5 hours). This 22,000-hectare private reserve is the home of the AfriCat Foundation, focused on the rehabilitation of cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.
In the afternoon, take a guided drive to track leopards or learn about carnivore conservation efforts. Okonjima is also a birding hotspot with over 250 species recorded.

Head north to Etosha National Park (approx. 4–5 hours). Covering over 22,000 km², Etosha is one of Southern Africa’s top game reserves, centered on a vast salt pan and dotted with prolific waterholes.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive upon entering through the Andersson Gate. Look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, springbok, and possibly black rhino.

Today is devoted to wildlife viewing across the southern and central regions of Etosha. Visit waterholes like Nebrownii, Okondeka, and Olifantsbad, where predators often lie in wait.
Lunch can be enjoyed at Halali Camp, followed by an afternoon game drive toward the eastern sector.

Leave Etosha via Namutoni Gate and drive southwest toward Damaraland (approx. 5–6 hours). The route winds through semi-arid landscapes and ancient mountains.
Visit the Otjikandero Himba Village (optional) for cultural insights, or stop for photos near Brandberg Mountain, Namibia’s tallest peak.
Damaraland is home to desert-adapted elephants, black rhinos, and free-roaming lions.

After breakfast, tour the Twyfelfontein rock engravings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2,500 petroglyphs etched into sandstone. Continue to Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes, then join a guided nature drive through dry riverbeds in search of desert elephants and other rare wildlife.
Evening sundowners offer spectacular views over the rocky outcrops and open plains.

Head west toward the Skeleton Coast, stopping at the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, home to over 100,000 Cape fur seals. Continue south to Swakopmund, Namibia’s adventure capital nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and towering sand dunes.
Explore the German colonial-style town with options like beach walks, seafood dinners, or optional quad biking and sandboarding.

Depart Swakopmund after breakfast and travel southeast through the Namib-Naukluft Park (approx. 5–6 hours), one of the largest conservation areas in Africa. Cross scenic passes like Gaub and Kuiseb, and stop at the Tropic of Capricorn for a photo opportunity.
Reach your lodge near Sesriem, gateway to Sossusvlei, in time for sunset over the dunes.

Rise before dawn for entry into the park and climb Dune 45 for a golden sunrise. Then proceed to Deadvlei, a white clay pan surrounded by 300-meter high dunes, known for its hauntingly beautiful dead camel thorn trees.
Later, visit Sossusvlei, which occasionally fills with water after heavy rain, and end the morning at Sesriem Canyon, formed by centuries of floodwater erosion.
Return to your lodge for a relaxing afternoon and dinner under the stars.

You may either fly (optional extra) or drive (full-day) to the lush northeastern corner of Namibia known as the Zambezi Region, formerly the Caprivi Strip. This is a stark contrast to the desert regions, offering wetlands, woodlands, and rich biodiversity.
Arrive at your lodge along the Kavango River or Kwando River, ideal for sunset cruises or fishing trips.
