15 Days Kenya Safari Holiday

Day 1 – Arrive in Vibrant Nairobi

Our guide will warmly welcome you upon arrival in the bustling capital of Nairobi. But before heading out on safari, we’ll get a taste of the city. Visit the lively Maasai Market to browse souvenirs, see urban wildlife at Nairobi National Park, and indulge in a traditional nyama choma dinner. Overnight at our comfortable hotel.

Day 2 – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, the epic safari adventure begins! We’ll drive 5 scenic hours to Maasai Mara National Reserve, renowned for its exceptional wildlife density with over 95 mammal and 500 bird species. Arriving at our luxury tented camp, it’s time to settle in and get ready for amazing game viewing ahead! Sip sundowners while watching the sunset over the expansive savanna.

Days 3 & 4 – Wildlife Spotting in Maasai Mara

Two full days to explore incredible Maasai Mara! Morning and evening game drives allow us to scout for the Big 5 – lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinos. Our eagle-eyed Maasai spotters will help search for cheetahs on the prowl, gigantic hippo pools, and massive migrating wildebeest herds stretched to the horizon. Be prepared for camera memory cards to fill up fast!

Day 5 – Journey to Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, our safari continues as we drive past the spectacular Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Famous for its pink flamingo flocks, Lake Nakuru amazes with scenic vistas and abundant wildlife like rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes and more. An afternoon game drive provides first glimpses and photo ops! Overnight at our lodge with lake views.

Day 6 – Game Viewing at Lake Nakuru

A full day to explore Lake Nakuru! We’ll set off on an early morning walking safari for up close sightings of smaller tracks and ecological details missed from a vehicle. Later, an exciting game drive takes us around the shimmering lake spotting rhinos, buffalo, waterbuck, baboons, and of course those beautiful flamingos. A picnic lunch on the shores soaking in the views is a highlight!

Day 7 – Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Today we’ll make the drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a wildlife haven known for its high predator density. This private reserve provides a more intimate safari experience as vehicles are limited. We’ll arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive spotting elephants, lions, leopards, southern white rhinos and even chimpanzees! Overnight at our fabulous conservancy lodge.

Day 8 – Tracking activities at Ol Pejeta

With several endangered species, Ol Pejeta offers fantastic educational tracking excursions. Try dog tracking for lions and hyenas or join the rhino patrol keeping an eye on blind rhinos. Nightfalls brings exciting nocturnal game drives to spot elusive predators under a blanket of stars. With so much to do, a second night here is a treat!

Day 9 – Transfer to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, we’ll make the scenic drive north to remote Samburu, inhabited by northern specialist wildlife like Grevy zebra, long-necked gerenuk, and vibrant reticulated giraffe only found here. Arriving at our riverside lodge, get settled in and refresh before an evening game drive along the riverbank.

Days 10 & 11 – Wildlife Along the Ewaso Ng’iro River

Samburu surprises at every turn! Morning and evening game drives reveal unique dry country species adapted to this hot, rugged landscape. Nile crocodiles line the riverbanks, where elephants and hippos also gather to drink. Keep an eye out for leopard and cheetah along the rocky ridges too. The birdlife here is exceptional as well. Two nights allows us to fully experience Samburu’s magical wilderness.

Day 12 – Transfer to Mount Kenya National Park

We depart Samburu for Mount Kenya today, with a picnic lunch en route. Our lodge is nestled at the foothills of this majestic 5199m peak with sweeping views. Africa’s second highest mountain after Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya has a fascinating ecosystem from lush rainforest up to icy glaciers. We’ll toast our incredible safari adventures so far during dinner on the veranda.

Day 13 – Hiking Mount Kenya

Lace up your boots for a full day exploring Mount Kenya! Walk through bamboo forest looking for elephants and buffalo. Ascend into moorland dotted with enormous senecio trees where zebra and eland graze. Glimpse glacial tarns reflecting the jagged, snowy summits overhead. With multiple hikes to choose from, we’ll pick one suited to the group’s fitness and interests.

Day 14 – Descend to Nairobi

After soaking up a final sunrise over the peaks, we’ll pack up and make the drive back to Nairobi. Stop at the equator for photos and shopping! Our reserved day room at the Stanley Hotel lets us refresh before a special celebratory farewell dinner. Reminisce on the most memorable moments from our incredible 15 day Kenyan adventure.

Day 15 – Departure from Nairobi

It’s time to bid Kenya kwaheri (farewell)! Enjoy a final tasty Kenyan breakfast before transferring to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Our trusty driver and guide will see you off, ensuring smooth travels back home with incredible memories to last a lifetime. Asante Kenya for the adventure of a lifetime!
