Eswatini Wildlife Holidays | Short Safari Tours | Game Drives and Cultural Visits
Begin your Eswatini safari with a morning pick-up from either King Mswati III International Airport or a designated point near the South Africa–Eswatini border. From there, enjoy a drive through the countryside to Hlane Royal National Park, the kingdom’s largest protected area.
Hlane covers over 30,000 hectares and is known for its populations of white rhinos, elephants, lions (in separate enclosures), and abundant birdlife including vultures and eagles. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Ndlovu Camp or a similar eco-lodge.
In the afternoon, go on a guided game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle. Rangers will help you track down large mammals, especially rhinos and elephants.
Dinner and overnight stay inside Hlane Royal National Park.
Start the day early with a sunrise game drive in Hlane, a time when wildlife is most active. After breakfast, transfer to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Ezulwini Valley and surrounded by mountains and grasslands.
Mlilwane is Eswatini’s oldest conservation area and offers a gentle, predator-free safari experience ideal for walking, mountain biking, and birdwatching.
Check in at Reilly’s Rock Hilltop Lodge or Mlilwane Rest Camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking safari across plains dotted with zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and warthogs. The trail also includes cultural insights into Swazi traditions and plant uses.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary.
After breakfast, take a short cultural visit to a nearby Swazi homestead or handicraft market (optional, depending on your schedule). You may also enjoy a final short nature walk or cycle route within Mlilwane before checking out.
You’ll then be transferred back to King Mswati III Airport, the Mbabane area, or the border with South Africa (Oshoek, Lavumisa, or Ngwenya).
This ends your 3-day Eswatini safari, blending big game viewing, scenic landscapes, and cultural exposure in one of Southern Africa’s smallest but most diverse countries.
