Arrive at Kotoka International Airport in Accra. After immigration clearance, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel. After a short rest, begin your guided Accra city tour, highlighting key cultural and historical landmarks.
Visit Independence Arch, Black Star Square, and the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, which honors Ghana’s first president. Continue to Jamestown, one of the city’s oldest districts, known for its colonial-era lighthouses and Ga community history.
In the afternoon, explore the Arts Centre for National Culture, where you can shop for kente cloth, wooden carvings, and handmade jewelry. Dinner is served at a local Ghanaian restaurant.

After an early breakfast, depart Accra for a drive along the scenic Gulf of Guinea coastline to Cape Coast. Your first stop is Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former slave fort. Join a guided tour through the dungeons, the “Door of No Return,” and the historical museum.
Next, visit Elmina Castle, the oldest European structure in sub-Saharan Africa. Walk through its haunting chambers and hear about the role of the transatlantic slave trade from local historians.
In the afternoon, continue to Kakum National Park for the famous canopy walkway, suspended 30 meters above the forest floor. Spot birds, butterflies, and possibly monkeys.
Return to Cape Coast or Elmina for an overnight stay near the beach.
