Day-by-Day Itinerary

1

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park vis Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Have a hefty breakfast at your residence/hotel in the morning before your guide/driver picks you up. Start your journey to the great Murchison Falls National Park, a wildlife park known for the strongest waterfalls in the world.

Have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for tracking the white rhinos. This is where these endangered rhinos are bred to help keep their population alive in Uganda. Rhino trekking is an exciting experience conducted on foot and allowing you to approach within a few meters of the animals.
After the trek, have lunch from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and then continue on your journey to the Murchison Falls National Park.

Upon checking in to the park, drive straight to the top of the falls to observe the spectacular wonder of the Nile as it squeezes through a 7-meter narrow gorge, all the way from a 1 km+ river width, before plunging 42 meters below, creating a dramatic and powerful cascade. This remarkable sight makes the Murchison Falls the most powerful waterfall in the world.

After here, drive on to your reserved accommodation, for relaxation, freshen up, and wait for dinner.

Morning game drive and afternoon Boat Cruise

Start your day with an early morning breakfast, served by 6:30 am. Then, head out for a refreshing morning game drive in the wild to catch the early risers as they go hunting. As the park awakens, watch for the other Big Five animals (lions, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards). The park is also home to giraffes and a variety of antelopes, and a vibrant array of birdlife like the kingfishers and shoebills. You may pause for a peaceful picnic by the river, accompanied by the distant sounds of hippos.

After the drive, drive back to your lodge for a lunch break, and prepare for the afternoon boat cruise on the River Nile. This will get you remarkably close to the hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife, like the waterbucks, all set against stunning riverbank views. The boat cruise takes you to the bottom of the waterfalls as you race against the strong waves of the Nile. It's always a worthy and memorable photo moment.

3

Morning game drive and departure.

Start your day with an early breakfast, followed by another morning game drive. This is to enjoy the park once more and look out for some of the wildlife that you may have missed out on the previous day. Afterwards, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, with a lunch stop along the way.
