Safari Overview
The 3 days Murchison Falls & Rhino Tracking Uganda Safari offers you a chance to track rhinos on foot, see Africa’s Big Five animals and also marvel at the powerful Murchison Falls found on River Nile. The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary found in Nakasongola District where you will track rhinos was established to re-introduce rhinos, a species that had become totally extinct in Uganda following the extreme poaching that happened back in the 1970s and 1980s.
The powerful Murchison Falls on River Nile were formed as a result of large water volumes of the Nile forcing through a tiny 7 meter gorge and then making a drop offer a high cliff 43 meters high. You will enjoy a launch cruise to the bottom of these falls and enjoy uninterrupted views.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Rhinos tracking and transfer to Murchison Falls NP
Early morning your safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel, brief you about the safari and then begin the drive to northwestern Uganda to Murchison Falls National – the largest game park in the country. This drive will take through the rural Uganda as you see large plantations of bananas, cultivated farmlands, drive past several roadside fresh-fruit markets and village settlements until you eventually arrive at Nakasongola to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will track rhinos for about 90 minutes. Lunch will be en-route in Masindi town and then later arrive in the national park and check into your accommodation.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Launch Cruise on River Nile
Begin the day with an early breakfast and then have a game drive in the park to explore the various wildlife habitats to see the numerous types of animals among which are the Big 4 animals; elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Giraffes, Lions, Waterbucks, hyenas and Jacksons Hartebeasts are some of the animals you should expect to see.
After lunch at your lodge, go for an adventurous 2 hours launch cruise on river Nile that offers great photography opportunities. During this ride will see several bird including the rare shoebill stork, and several animals like the giant Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, elephants and other that visit the river banks to quench their thirst. Return to your lodge for dinner and the overnight.

Day 3: Visit Top of the falls – Departure to Kampala
This will be the final day of the 3 day Uganda Safari in Murchison Fall NP. After a nice breakfast at your accommodation, you will visit the top of the falls for clear views of these waterfall. The sight of the large water volumes of the Nile squeezing through a tiny 7 meter gorge and then drop off a cliff of standing at a height of more than 40 meters dropping with a thunderous roar to form a rising cloud of water.
From here you will begin the journey back to Kampala having lunch en-route. Once in Kampala you will be dropped off at a hotel of your choice or to the Entebbe International airport for your departure flight.
