Explore the Best of Namibia’s Wildlife in Just 3 Days – Big Game, Waterholes, and Scenic Drives
Namibia Safaris | Etosha National Park | Namibia Wildlife Tours | Short Namibia Safari Holidays
Begin your journey with a morning departure from Windhoek, traveling north via Okahandja and Otjiwarongo to Etosha National Park, approximately 5–6 hours by road. Enjoy the changing landscape, passing acacia plains and distant mountain ranges.
Arrive at your lodge or camp near the southern entrance (Andersson Gate) by early afternoon. After lunch and check-in, set out on your first game drive inside the park. Drive along the edges of the Etosha Pan, visiting waterholes where elephants, zebras, giraffes, springbok, and oryx gather.
Overnight at Okaukuejo Camp, Taleni Etosha Village, or similar.
Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive within Etosha. Start early to catch predators like lions and cheetahs in the cooler morning hours. Explore the central and eastern sections of the park, including popular waterholes such as Halali, Okondeka, and Chudop.
Etosha’s vast white salt pan stretches over 4,800 km² and is often visible from the road, creating a stark but striking contrast with the bushveld surroundings. Along the way, look for rhinos, wildebeest, kudu, jackals, and birds such as ostriches and secretary birds.
Lunch will be at a rest camp inside the park. Continue your game drive in the afternoon and return to your lodge before sunset.
Overnight at Okaukuejo Camp or similar.
After an early breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive as you exit Etosha through the southern gate. You may still spot wildlife near the road, especially around the Okaukuejo waterhole.
Depart for Windhoek with lunch en route. Depending on timing, you may stop at craft markets in Okahandja before arriving in the capital by late afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or Windhoek International Airport.
