Safari Overview
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most visited national park in Uganda and was named after the queen of England – Queen Elizabeth II after she visited the park in 1952. The park prides a great diversity of both animals and birds that you will encounter during the launch cruise and game drives that live in the numerous habitats which include: swamps, Savannah plains, forested gorges, the kazinga channel which joins lake Edward and lakes George, crater lakes and rivers. Furthermore, QENP is home to one of the two populations of the unique tree climbing lions found in Africa which live in the Ishasha Sector and the chimpanzees found within the kyambura gorge.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning your safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and brief you about this 3 day safari and begin the drive across the beautiful countryside towards southwestern Uganda driving past beautiful green cultivated hills, plantations and village settlements. Along the way you will stopover at the Uganda Equator for photograph moment and later have lunch in Mbarara town before finally reaching the park later in the evening wher you will check into your accommodation for dinner and the overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
Full day exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will get up early morning for a game drive as you explore the kasenyi plains where you will encounter various different animals such as lions, hyenas, buffaloes, the Uganda kobs, elephants, and several types of antelopes. Return for a late breakfast at the lodge at around 11:00am, rest and later have lunch.
In the afternoon go for a thrilling 2 hours launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you will see various birds, Uganda’s largest hippo population, lone buffaloes and elephants. Return for dinner and overnight rest at your lodge later in the evening.

Day 3: Return to Kampala
This is the final day of the 3 day Uganda Safari. Right after a nice breakfast, you will start the drive back to Kampala with lunch en-route. On arrival, the driver-guide will drop you at a hotel of your choice or at the airport for your departure flight.
