Day 1: Arrival in Mfuwe – Transfer to South Luangwa National Park

Arrive at Mfuwe Airport, where your safari guide will meet you upon arrival. From here, transfer by 4×4 vehicle to your lodge located near or inside South Luangwa National Park, Zambia’s most iconic game reserve.

After check-in and lunch, set out on your first afternoon game drive, venturing deep into the park’s pristine terrain. South Luangwa is known for its dense concentration of wildlife and especially high chances of seeing:

  • Leopards, especially at dusk
  • Large herds of elephants and buffalo

  • Hippos and crocodiles along the Luangwa River
  • Thornicroft’s giraffes – endemic to the Luangwa Valley

Return to your lodge for dinner and enjoy a starlit evening around the campfire.

Day 2: Morning Walking Safari & Afternoon Game Drive

After the safari, return to the lodge for breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, you may visit a local textile or craft market in Mfuwe en route to the airport.

Transfer to Mfuwe Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 3-day Zambia safari.
