Arrive at Bangui M’Poko International Airport and meet your local guide for a transfer to your hotel.
After check-in, explore Bangui’s highlights including the Boganda National Museum, which showcases tribal artifacts, musical instruments, and traditional crafts. Visit the Presidential Palace exteriors, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Place de la République monument.
Later in the afternoon, head to the Ouango artisan market, where local vendors display wood carvings, beaded jewelry, and colorful fabrics.

Early morning departure for Bayanga village, gateway to Dzanga-Sangha Special Reserve (by charter flight or overland journey depending on the season and logistics; road transfer takes approx. 9–10 hours, flight 1.5 hours).
Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and attend a briefing by park staff. If time allows, take a guided walk along forest trails to observe birds, monkeys, and forest flora.

Spend the day inside Dzanga-Sangha, one of Central Africa’s most unique wildlife regions. Head to Dzanga Bai, a natural forest clearing where forest elephants, bongo antelope, sitatunga, and giant forest hogs gather at mineral-rich waterholes. Sit in a viewing platform and watch the wildlife over several hours.
In the afternoon, visit a Ba’Aka pygmy community. Join them for a walk in the forest to learn about medicinal plants, honey harvesting, and traditional hunting songs. Return to the lodge in the evening.
