The little town of Hermanus, two hours east of Cape Town, is widely regarded as the best land-based whale watching site in the world. Between June and November, southern right whales calve and play in Walker Bay – often within meters of the cliff path that runs the length of town.
This four-day family-friendly trip combines land-based whale watching, a boat-based whale tour, and time exploring the surrounding wine valleys and beaches.
