This 4-day Ivory Coast tour explores the vibrant urban life of Abidjan and the UNESCO-listed colonial town of Grand-Bassam. Day 1: Arrival in Abidjan – City Orientation and Cultural Sites
Arrive at Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport in Abidjan. Meet your guide for a warm welcome and transfer to your hotel in Cocody or Plateau district.
Start with a guided introduction to the city:
- Visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, known for its modern architecture and city views.
- Walk through the Cocody district, home to embassies, upscale residences, and peaceful lagoons.
- Stop at CAVA (Centre Artisanal de la Ville d’Abidjan) to browse handmade crafts including woven fabrics, wood carvings, and bronze figurines.
Evening at leisure or enjoy local dishes like attiéké with grilled fish at a recommended restaurant.

Day 2: Day Trip to Grand-Bassam – Colonial Heritage and Beach
After breakfast, drive 40 km southeast to Grand-Bassam, the former capital of French colonial Ivory Coast and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Visit the National Costume Museum, displaying traditional Ivorian garments and masks.
- Tour the Colonial Quarter, with preserved buildings like the Old Post Office, Governor’s Palace, and merchant mansions.
- Enjoy lunch at a beachside restaurant and spend the afternoon relaxing on the Atlantic coast, where you can swim or walk the beach.
Return to Abidjan in the evening.

- Continue to Treichville, one of the most vibrant districts, for a visit to the Ajavon Art Gallery or a textile market.
- Optionally stop at the Banco National Park for a short nature walk through primary forest (if time allows and subject to park access).
Evening free to enjoy Abidjan nightlife or a music performance in Yopougon.
