Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Arusha – Safari Briefing & Overnight Stay
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you’ll be met by your safari driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha, the safari hub of northern Tanzania.
Receive a full briefing about your upcoming safari and enjoy dinner at your lodge. Optional: short city tour depending on arrival time.
Overnight: Arusha Lodge or Hotel (e.g., Ilboru Safari Lodge / Four Points by Sheraton)

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park – Game Drive & Birdwatching
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment (approx. 2.5 hrs drive).
Enter the park and enjoy a half-day game drive. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, and an array of birds, including pelicans, storks, and flamingos. The lake itself offers stunning reflections of the Rift Valley cliffs.
Have lunch at a scenic picnic site, and continue your drive through the park’s diverse habitats, groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, and open grasslands.

Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Safari – Big Five Encounter
After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 1 hr). Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.
The crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” is home to over 25,000 large mammals, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, and elusive leopards. Enjoy sightings of wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and more.
Stop for a picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Springs, then continue your game drive through various habitats before ascending back to the rim in the late afternoon.

Return to Arusha – Optional Maasai Cultural Visit
