Meet and greet on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or at your hotel in Nairobi. After a safari briefing, depart north through Kenya’s scenic highlands, passing coffee and pineapple plantations and crossing the equator near Nanyuki.
Continue to Samburu National Reserve, known for its rugged beauty and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and relax before heading out for your first game drive in search of the famous Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
Spend the day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives.
Early morning is the best time to spot predators such as lions and cheetahs. You may also see large herds of elephants along the Ewaso Nyiro River and many unique bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for another game drive in the afternoon.

After breakfast, depart Samburu and drive south toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located at the foothills of Mount Kenya.
Arrive in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the conservancy’s open plains. You will also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, where rescued chimpanzees live in a protected environment.

Enjoy a full day exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s leading wildlife conservation areas.
Begin with an early morning game drive as the sun rises over Mount Kenya. The conservancy is home to the Big Five and the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa. Later, visit the endangered species enclosure to learn about rhino conservation efforts.
Spend the afternoon on another game drive across the savannahs and woodlands of the conservancy.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before departing for Nairobi.
Arrive in the afternoon and visit the Giraffe Centre, where you can learn about giraffe conservation and feed the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes.
Later, transfer to your hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
