Arrival in Accra – City Tour & Cultural Heritage

Arrive at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, where your guide will receive you and provide a short briefing. After hotel check-in and refreshment, begin your guided city tour of Accra, Ghana’s vibrant capital.

Visit Black Star Square and Independence Arch, symbols of Ghana’s freedom movement. Explore the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the resting place of Ghana’s first president, and tour the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre, which honors the Pan-African scholar.

Stop at the Arts Centre for National Culture, where artisans sell kente cloth, woodwork, beads, and drums. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with live highlife music.

Accra to Cape Coast – Slave Castles & Fishing Towns

After breakfast, depart Accra for Cape Coast, a drive of about 3–4 hours along the Atlantic coast. Arrive and begin with a guided tour of Cape Coast Castle, a key site in the transatlantic slave trade. Explore the underground dungeons, governor’s quarters, and the "Door of No Return".

Continue to Elmina, where you’ll visit Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482. Learn how it served as a base for European colonization and slave trading in West Africa.

Explore Elmina fishing harbor, famous for its colorful canoes and bustling shoreline. Evening at leisure by the beach.

Kakum National Park – Canopy Walk & Rainforest Trails

After breakfast, drive to Kakum National Park, one of West Africa’s best-known nature reserves. Begin with a short guided walk through the forest and proceed to the canopy walkway, suspended 30–40 meters above the ground, offering a treetop view of the rainforest.

Enjoy an optional walk on the nature trails to learn about indigenous trees, medicinal plants, and forest ecology. Return to Cape Coast or Elmina for lunch.

The afternoon is free for beach relaxation or an optional visit to the Cape Coast University Botanical Gardens.

Return to Accra – Makola Market & Local Lifestyle

After breakfast, depart Cape Coast for Accra. Upon arrival, explore Makola Market, one of the city’s busiest and most colorful markets. Here, traders sell fabrics, shea butter, food, and crafts.

Visit Jamestown, a historic district with colonial architecture, a lighthouse, and murals. Take a short walking tour through the community and hear stories of Ghana’s urban development.

Optional stop at the Indigenous African Art Gallery before heading back to your hotel. Evening at leisure or optional traditional dance performance.

Departure – Local Crafts & Airport Transfer
