Madagascar’s Île Sainte-Marie – a long narrow island off the east coast – is one of the world’s best places to see humpback whales. Each July through October, thousands of humpbacks migrate from Antarctica to give birth and mate in the warm Madagascar Channel.
This five-day trip is built around dedicated daily whale boats with marine biologist guides, plus beach time and a visit to the historic pirate cemetery.
