This 5-day safari explores Odzala-Kokoua National Park, a vast rainforest and savannah ecosystem in the northwest of the Republic of Congo. The itinerary includes gorilla trekking in Ngaga Forest, game viewing in Mboko, bai (clearing) exploration, and cultural interactions with local communities.
Arrive via charter flight from Brazzaville to Mboko Airstrip, the entry point to Odzala-Kokoua National Park.
Transfer to Mboko Camp, a scenic lodge near the Likeni River. After lunch, take a light guided walk along the riverine forest and savannah edge. Expect sightings of forest buffalo, red river hogs, and a variety of birdlife.
Dinner is served at the open-air lounge, followed by an orientation talk about park habitats and conservation.
