1

Arrival in Algiers – Historic Quarter, Casbah, and Martyrs’ Memorial

Arrive at Houari Boumediene International Airport, where your guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center. After a short rest, start your guided tour of Algiers, one of North Africa’s oldest cities.

Begin with the Casbah of Algiers, a maze of winding alleys, Ottoman palaces, and traditional homes. Visit the Ketchaoua Mosque, Dar Aziza, and local craft workshops. Continue to the Martyrs’ Memorial, a towering tribute to Algeria’s independence struggle, then enjoy panoramic views from Notre-Dame d’Afrique, perched on the coastal cliffs.

Dinner and overnight in Algiers.

2

Day Trip to Tipasa and Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania

After breakfast, depart west to Tipasa, located on the Mediterranean coast. Explore this Roman-Berber archaeological site with temples, an amphitheater, early Christian basilicas, and seaside ruins. The setting offers a rare combination of ancient architecture and sea views.

Later, visit the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, a mysterious circular tomb believed to be the resting place of Cleopatra Selene II. Return to Algiers in the late afternoon for leisure time or an optional walk along the city’s waterfront.

Overnight in Algiers.

3

Algiers to Setif – National Museum and Roman Mosaics

After breakfast, drive eastward to Setif, a lively city with strong Roman and French colonial influences. Visit the Setif Archaeological Museum, home to one of the largest and best-preserved collections of Roman mosaics in North Africa.

Enjoy a guided tour of the city center, which includes tree-lined boulevards, local cafés, and open markets. Later, visit the Ain Fouara Fountain, a local landmark. Dinner and overnight in Setif.

4

Full Day Visit to Timgad – Roman City of the Mountains

Today’s journey takes you to Timgad, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded by Emperor Trajan in AD 100, Timgad is a classic example of Roman town planning.

Walk through its grid-patterned streets, see the Trajan Arch, Capitolium, theatre, baths, and marketplaces, all surrounded by the Aures Mountains. Return to Setif in the evening for overnight stay.

5

Setif to Constantine – City of Bridges and Islamic Architecture

After breakfast, depart for Constantine, known as the City of Bridges due to its dramatic gorges and hanging footbridges that connect the town’s rocky plateaus.

Start with a visit to Emir Abdelkader Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Africa. Explore the Museum of Cirta, and cross the Sidi M’Cid Bridge, suspended over 175 meters above the Rhummel River. Discover the old medina and admire Ottoman-style architecture, souks, and local bakeries.

Overnight in Constantine.
