Nairobi to Masai Mara – Scenic Drive & Afternoon Game Drive

Begin your 6-day Kenya tour with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Drive through the spectacular Great Rift Valley, enjoying scenic stops and countryside views en route to Masai Mara National Reserve (approx. 5–6 hours).
Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the vast savannah plains. Spot herds of elephants, zebras, buffalo, and possibly predators like lions and cheetahs during your first wildlife viewing experience.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara – Big Cats & Savannah Wildlife

Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara, known for its rich wildlife diversity and excellent game viewing. After an early breakfast, depart with packed lunches for a full-day safari into the deeper parts of the reserve.
Expect sightings of lions, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, antelopes, and, if lucky, leopards or black rhinos. Between July and October, witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of nature’s most dramatic events.
Picnic lunch in the bush and return to camp by sunset.

Optional: Visit a Masai village to learn about traditional dances, nomadic life, and cultural rituals (entry fee applies).

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru – Flamingos, Rhinos & Rift Valley Beauty

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park (approx. 5 hours drive), passing through the Rift Valley escarpment and lush farmlands.
Arrive for lunch, then head into the park for an afternoon game drive. Famous for its flamingo-lined shores (seasonal), Lake Nakuru is also one of the best places to see white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and leopards in the acacia woodlands.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha – Boat Safari & Walking with Wildlife

After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by papyrus and forest. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat safari to spot hippos, fish eagles, and other water birds.
Disembark at Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for a guided walking safari, where you’ll walk among giraffes, zebras, and gazelles, no predators, just peaceful wildlife on foot.

Optional: Add cycling or hiking in Hell’s Gate National Park or visit Elsamere Conservation Centre, the former home of Joy Adamson (author of Born Free).
