Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Safari Briefing & Overnight

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), meet your safari guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s safari destinations.
Settle in, enjoy a warm welcome, and receive a full briefing on the adventure ahead. Time permitting, you may explore Arusha town or relax at your lodge.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Giant Baobabs & Elephant Herds

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hrs), known for its vast herds of elephants, towering baobab trees, and diverse birdlife.
Spend the day on game drives exploring Tarangire’s open savannahs, seasonal marshes, and acacia woodlands. You’re likely to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and possibly leopards lounging in the trees.
Tarangire is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 500 species recorded.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara – Game Drive & Scenic Landscapes

After breakfast, depart for nearby Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 1.5 hrs). Nestled at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment, this compact park is rich in biodiversity.
Enjoy a half-day game drive, where you may see the famous tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants, hippos, and flamingos along the lakeshore.
Explore the groundwater forests and acacia woodlands before exiting the park in the afternoon.

Day 4: Karatu to Serengeti – Through the Highlands to the Endless Plains

After an early breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a scenic drive through Maasai villages and highlands.
You’ll enter the Serengeti by midday and enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge or camp.
The central Serengeti (Seronera Valley) is a wildlife hotspot known for its predator population, particularly lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Herds of buffalo, zebra, and gazelle roam freely.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater – Early Game Drive & Scenic Drive

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Serengeti when predators are most active. After breakfast at camp (or packed breakfast), continue with game viewing as you exit the park.
Drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, with an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, the “Cradle of Mankind.” Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim by evening and enjoy spectacular sunset views.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This unique ecosystem is home to over 25,000 large mammals, including black rhinos, lions, warthogs, hyenas, and abundant birdlife.
Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint like Ngoitoktok Springs, then ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving late afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or airport for onward travel.
