Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. Depart north to Samburu National Reserve, passing through Kenya’s northern landscapes.

Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, then enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot the rare Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu

After breakfast, set out for a morning game drive to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, and other wildlife. Return for lunch and relax at the lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive and sundowners overlooking the river.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdare National Park

Depart Samburu after breakfast and head south to the lush highlands of Aberdare National Park.

Arrive at Aberdare Country Club / The Ark Lodge for lunch, then transfer to your tree lodge. Spend the afternoon observing wildlife at the floodlit waterhole from the elevated decks.

Day 4: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive via Nyahururu to the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha for lunch. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive.

Spot rhinos, giraffes, zebras, flamingos, and if lucky, leopards and lions. Return to your lodge for sundowners, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, travel across the Rift Valley floor to Masai Mara National Reserve.

Arrive for lunch, then embark on your first game drive in the Mara to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, and antelopes. Enjoy sundowners over the plains before returning to your lodge.

Day 6: Full Day in Maasai Mara

Enjoy a full day of morning and afternoon game drives across the Mara’s vast plains, witnessing the Big Five and abundant wildlife.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
