Arrive at Moshoeshoe I International Airport near Maseru. After meeting your guide, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Begin the afternoon with a visit to Thaba Bosiu, the mountain stronghold of King Moshoeshoe I, where the Basotho kingdom was founded in the 19th century.
Tour the Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village to learn about local traditions, the king’s legacy, and resistance against colonial forces. Take a gentle walk to the top of the plateau for views over the surrounding countryside. Return to Maseru in the evening for dinner.

After breakfast, begin a full-day scenic drive to Katse Dam, located in the heart of the Maloti Mountains. The journey includes high-altitude passes and panoramic views over terraced fields and stone homesteads.
Arrive in the afternoon and tour the Katse Dam Visitor Centre, learning about the Lesotho Highlands Water Project and its role in supplying water to South Africa. Take a short guided walk along the dam wall and enjoy sunset views over the reservoir.

Depart Katse after breakfast and head north to Tsehlanyane National Park, a protected area within the Maloti Mountains. The drive includes gravel roads, winding ridges, and glimpses of alpine flora.
