Spend the day in the Makasutu Cultural Forest, one of the most beautiful eco-reserves in The Gambia. Begin with a guided nature walk through palm groves and woodland, then enjoy a canoe safari through mangroves.

Set off for a scenic boat journey up the River Gambia to Tendaba Camp. This remote eco-lodge offers excellent birdwatching, look for fish eagles, kingfishers, pelicans, and herons.

Travel deeper upriver to Janjanbureh, one of Gambia’s oldest towns, and visit slave-era historical sites like the Freedom Tree and colonial detention cells.

Continue to Wassu Stone Circles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site considered to be ancient burial grounds.Dinner and overnight at Baobolong Camp or similar.

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Kololi with stops at local villages and traditional markets along the way. You may visit a local peanut farm or craft center for last-minute souvenirs.

Arrive at your beach resort by evening and enjoy your final dinner by the ocean.Dinner and overnight at African Princess Beach Hotel.

On your last day, take a short guided walk through Abuko Nature Reserve, The Gambia’s first protected forest. Spot monkeys, reptiles, and colorful birds in this compact but rich ecosystem.
