This 9-day Guinea tour is crafted to offer an in-depth journey across the country’s diverse landscapes and cultures. You’ll travel from coastal Conakry to the inland plateaus of Fouta Djallon, interact with Fulani and forest communities, see dramatic waterfalls, and experience the cultural richness of Guinea’s rural and urban regions.
Day 1: Arrival in Conakry – Cultural Orientation and Market Walk
Arrive at Conakry International Airport. After airport assistance and transfer to your hotel, begin an introductory tour of the capital city.
Visit the National Museum of Guinea to view traditional masks, carvings, and musical instruments. Explore Saint Mary’s Cathedral and the nearby Palais du Peuple, then stroll through Marché Madina, Guinea’s largest open-air market, filled with textiles, spices, and household goods.

Day 2: Transfer to Kindia – Voile de la Mariée Waterfall and Local Crafts
Travel northeast to Kindia (approx. 3 hours), a gateway to Guinea’s fertile valleys.
Visit Voile de la Mariée Waterfall, one of the country’s most scenic sites surrounded by forest and rocky hills. Take a guided walk around the site and hear the local folklore behind its name.
Stop at local artisan workshops where villagers craft pottery, wooden masks, and dyed fabrics using traditional tools and natural dyes.

Day 3: Into the Fouta Djallon – Arrival in Dalaba

Visit the Villa Syli, a 1950s-era government retreat. Walk through peaceful neighborhoods shaded by eucalyptus and fruit trees.
Learn about indigo dyeing techniques and traditional Fulani attire through demonstrations with local women’s groups.

In the evening, explore Pita town and enjoy local dishes like yassa chicken or riz-sauce arachide.

Arrive at your forest lodge or village guesthouse and take a short walk to meet Manon and Kpelle communities, known for their traditional dance, herbal medicine, and forest farming systems.

Your driver will transfer you to Conakry International Airport in time for your outbound flight.
