Our driver will give you a warm karibu welcome upon arrival in Nairobi, ready to kickstart this 9 day adventure. We'll enjoy a traditional meal in Kenya's bustling capital before heading to our cozy hotel to recap the plan for the action-packed days ahead!

After breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive northwest taking in the Great Rift Valley's stunning vistas along the way. Our destination is Kakamega Forest National Reserve to track wild chimpanzees, a rare treat! These acrobatic primates swing through the canopy hooping and hollering. Spending an hour observing them will be a trip highlight! Overnight at our forest lodge.

Today we'll lace up our boots for guided nature walks through Kakamega's lush forest ecosystem in search of colorful birds, monkeys, and rare butterflies. The area is known for its biodiversity with over 400 bird species recorded. Tonight we'll camp under the stars, swapping stories around the campfire and listening for the forest sounds at night.

After packing up camp, we'll embark on the drive across the Great Rift Valley to Kenya's most famous park - Maasai Mara. This vast grassland ecosystem supports all of the Big Five, along with the annual Great Migration! Arriving at our comfortable safari lodge, it's time to settle in and get ready for back-to-back days of spectacular game viewing.

We have two full days to explore incredible Maasai Mara! Morning and evening game drives allow us to scout for lions, leopards, cheetahs on the prowl, gigantic elephant herds, and more. Camera memory cards will be filled with wildlife photos! In between drives, we'll relax poolside watching giraffes and zebras visit the lodge for drinks.

After a final delicious breakfast in the Mara, we'll make the drive to Mt. Kenya National Park. Our lodge overlooks the impressive snow-capped 5199 meter peak, the second highest in Africa! In the afternoon we'll hike through lush forest dotted with cedar, olive, fig trees and bamboo. Keep an eye out for elephants and buffalo along the way.

A full day to enjoy Mt. Kenya's astounding landscapes. We'll set out early to trek up to one of the park's scenic glacial tarns. Nothing beats packing a picnic lunch cooled by the icy glacier waters! Later, we'll drive to the mountain's moorland zone to spot unique bird and plant species found only at these high elevations. Our last night at the lodge will include a celebratory farewell bush dinner.

It's sadly time bid farewell to Kenya! After a final breakfast overlooking Mt. Kenya, we'll make the drive back to Nairobi. Our trusty driver will drop you at Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your flight home with incredible memories to last a lifetime!
